Does the web-cam automatically refresh or do I have to reload the page?
Same question, how do you make it refresh automatically? I've read the webcam pages source code, and what they do is call a function to update the latest image.. URLs cant do this!?
How do you use webcams from Cam Zone? Seems as though the code is php and doesn't work . . . When I follow your instructions, to get, for example, the Scripps Pier webcam, I don't get a usable URL, or any URL, for that matter . . .
I don't have a web site, how do I know what is the URL to my web cam?
why cant i see the save button once i edit the web cam page its hidden behind other columb moduels as its to wide not the webcam image the panel its self?
All the Earth Cam sites are shockwave, how do I copy that code into my google homepage?
Is there any way to view this in it's original size? The real cam image is big, around 7"x9", but I can't get it bigger than the alloted space given by google, if I do it just zooms into a part of the image.

I have gone to about fifteen webcam locations and have right clicked on everyone and I have yet to see the words "Copy image location". Does this mean I cannot use these images?
how do i find the url of my webcam
I think the creator is using Firefox to copy the cam code...although why he/she is not responding I have no idea. I copied the location of the Cuse Manny's cam with no problem, but I am using Firefox.
you are right though that it doesn't seem to be refreshing as I am looking at the Manny's cam in one window and at the one on my Google page and they are definately not the same.

!!!DIRECTIONS BELOW-READ THE BORING STUFF FIRST!!!
I am a little unsure about the updating feature myself. Mine do update, but it's kind of hit or miss. For sure if I hit "refresh" it updates 100% of the time, however when it's just sitting there on my home page, well then I am not so sure, although I could swear that I have noticed pictures change when I didn't hit refresh, but never would I swear to it!! That said, they way I did it is I right clicked on the web cam pic I wanted and then chose "properties" and then I right clicked on top of the URL Address and chose "select all". You will notice that it selects/highlights the entire URL. Now right click yet again and hit "copy" and then "paste" that into your webcam'S URL area. There is for sure probably a much easier way to do this, but it's the only thing I could figure out after messing around with it. Here is the URL for Piccadilly Circus-London
http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/travel/

I love this one, always so busy!
it's not working.
I enter the address, hit OK and nothing happends, i'm stil seeing tvcatalunya.com
J'ai le même problème que 2nisis.
Pourtant, autrefois, Ccela fonctionnait bien, mais maintenant, il n'est plus possible de changer l'url initiale.
It seems to me that too long image addresses do not work?!
How do I configure my home webcam to transmit to my Google gadget ?[So I can view it from work] ?

Hi, I asked you about how to get my webcam working on my google homepage. I've followed your instructions but still nothing. Can you help?
Thanks,

OK, i'm stupid, but can't even get
"edit settings box" to appear in top right corner of module. 'course i'm assuming "module box" is the default
web cam that google sets on your home page----help please,,,
Las instrucciones debieran estar en castellano, y además son complejas y/o a veces no funcionan
How do I provide user name and password if a web site requires them?
Unless I'm not understanding something, all these WebCam modules seem worthless to me. Instructions state, ""URL of your WebCam": Here you must type the URL of your favorite webcam [it MUST end with a jpg, gif, png, swf (...) file]." Absolutely none of the webcam sites I vist have url's that end in any of these filenames. They end in htm, or cam2, or market, or who knows what, but not in a picture file type. And they still display in a browser.
thank you very much for your answers... very helpful!!!!! bah...
Do you need special software for the webcam to work on the igoogle
homepage? Can't get the images, and I used a site with jpg.
Great gadget - only problem is that for use with Google Desktop, it doesn't auto-refresh. Could you add this feature so it could be adjusted? Thanks!
same thing all the listed webcam sites will not let you copy and paste the image, if you try to to add jpg, png, ot the end of the file name it will not work. What a waste so far.
This cam site is a GIF feed buy it does not work. I see on their site but is does not generate in your app:
http://www.borderlineups.com/Images/FrameLarge_Top.gif
The website is:
http://www.borderlineups.com/webcams.php?CamID=2
http://www.baskerville.it/webcam/home.html
The above address ends with "html", not "gif" or "jpeg". So it doesn't bring up the camera when I paste it. I tried adding the suffix gif or jpeg, no luck. Anybody, any idea? Please help! Grazie!
Great gadget! Thank you very much!
url addresses don't end in .jpg, .gif, etc, so what do you mean by "it must end in .jpg, .gif," etc.?
