how do you set refresh time? it is not updating for me at all.. is there any way to place the flash, instead of picture?
Hey bellorusha - I am a little unsure about the updating feature myself. Mine do update, but it's kind of hit or miss. For sure if I hit "refresh" it updates 100% of the time, however when it's just sitting there on my home page, well then I am not so sure, although I could swear that I have noticed pictures change when I didn't hit refresh, but never would I swear to it!! That said, they way I did it is I right clicked on the web cam pic I wanted and then chose "properties" and then I right clicked on top of the URL Address and chose "select all". You will notice that it selects/highlights the entire URL. Now right click yet again and hit "copy" and then "paste" that into your webcam'S URL area. There is for sure probably a much easier way to do this, but it's the only thing I could figure out after messing around with it. Here is the URL for Piccadilly Circus-London

i have been trying to post my own webcam with edit on the module. trouble is i need to enter a username and password to access my web cam. does anyone know how to add these?
Tengo mas de 2 horas tratando de peronalizar mi webcam en mi pagina de inicio de google y no he podido he seguido las instruccuines paso a paso y la verdad NO PUEDO alguien por favor ayudeme...... las instucciones que he seguido son las siguientes:
1. Click "Edit" at the top of your module.
2. "Module title": Write your Module Title.
3. "URL of your WebCam": Here you must type the URL of your favorite webcam [it MUST end with a jpg, gif, png, swf (...) file]. Here's how:
Go to your favorite webcam page (you have a list of sites at the right side of this page), right click the webcam image, select "Copy image location" and paste this link.
4. "Resize Height" and "Resize Width". You can leave the default values or resize your image to fit the window.
5. Click "Save".

I like this gadget very much.
But,there is a suggestion about this.
I think whenever I click the part of phote in this gadget, it should go not to this blogsite but go to the site that provides photes by webcams.because we can get more information about photes by the providing site.

Imho, i think also that this gadget must give some credit (with a link?) to webcam owner... bandwidth is expensive!
This fucking SUCKS. I have 4 different browsers and no matter WHICH one I use, when I click on ANY of the cams I have added to i-google, it ALWAYS results in being brought to the fucking BLOG page, and NOT to the actual cam URL.

I agree with some comments above: great gadget, but please change the link to point to the webcam picture URL instead of to the blog. As users have already added the gadget (otherwise they couldn't hit the link), there's no need for them to go to the blog. Many thanks!
i am confused on the directions HELP ME
The webcam I want uses a java app to load the image. Right clicking (Firefox) on the image doesn't do anything. Clicking outside the image on the page brings up a dialog box saying the image is copy protected. There seems to be no way to get a link to a jpg file

It worked for long time then it broke and it does not work for looong time now...
